About Me

Han Kim

Graphic/Motion Designer

Creativity has always been at the heart of who I am. From an early age, I was drawn to sketching, writing, and experimenting with ideas, always eager to turn imagination into something tangible. Over time, that curiosity led me to design, where I found a way to bring together everything I love about creating and translate it into meaningful work. However, I also believe that design is more than just art. It must serve a clear purpose and function effectively, combining creativity with practical solutions.

My favorite software to use are Illustrator, InDesign, and Figma. I am also experienced in Photoshop, Procreate, After Effects, and Premiere Pro.

Growing Up in Design

I’m an Atlanta-based designer, but my story with creativity started long before I ever called myself one. With two architects as parents, I grew up surrounded by tracing paper, all sorts of coloring utensils, and endless rolls of paper. Some of my earliest memories are of sitting in their office, doodling while they worked. One of the turning points in my life was when I showed my dad a picture I drew, and he said, “You can do better than that.” I took that as a challenge, and continued to improve my drawing skills, which eventually led to my interest in the art of creating.

Creating with Any Medium

As I grew older, that love for creating took on new forms. I turned to writing, drawn to the way words could build worlds and capture emotion. I even began college as an English major, planning to pursue creative writing. On the side, I learned how to code to create my own games. I also took a music theory class to get the basics of music composition. No matter the medium, I have always been searching for new ways to breathe life into an idea, turning it into something I can share.

New Project = New Puzzle

Possibly due to my architect parents, I could not part design from function, so design is ultimately the path I decided to take. My eye for patterns, my tendency to see shapes in the unexpected, and my curiosity for new stories all play a role in the work I create. My goal of design is not just to look pretty, but to solve a problem (with style). I see every project as a puzzle to solve and an opportunity to explore. I look forward to bringing that same passion and perspective into the work we do together.
